I read this book this summer. After the author lost both her brother and husband within the same year, she finds a life-line within the overwhelming grieving process in the form of heartfelt letters to her late husband celebrating their life together and the family they loved. The book cultivates compassion in the reader toward those who have suffered loss, while also challenging the living to be intentional about expressing love and joy in the precious time we have been given.
