Counting Down

It’s New Year’s Eve, we’re counting down
With gatherings... all over town
There’s merriment and food and drinks
And stories shared as each one thinks.

This year, to pass, held many things
So many sweet rememberings
And sorrow, too...it was a part
That left us sad inside our heart.

But now...before us...all is new
Let’s sing and dance and laugh, anew
Let’s celebrate the year ahead
Then fall asleep upon our bed.

Let’s pray for angels to surround
All those we love... in every town
And let’s be thankful for His gifts
And for this time to reminisce.

This New Year

A brand New Year, begins today
And for your health and hearts we pray
May every day in this New Year
Find family...friends..so very near.

May all the promises we’ve made
Now find a way to be obeyed
May every day we live, be blessed
And may each heart find happiness.

And, may we help each one in need
Long before they start to plead
Perhaps we can be..silently
The ones to bring another glee.

May every day, with sun or rain
Bring gladness... that we can explain
For each of them is Heaven-sent
Let’s give our thanks for days He’s lent.

And every day, let’s be in prayer
For all the  blessings that we share
Let’s tell our Father of each one
Each morning as the day’s begun.

For every day is such a gift
So let our praises, skyward, lift
Let us give thanks for all we love
And pray for those now up Above.

And, may we not forget our friends
Whose love, each day, just never ends
And for our health He oversees
In faith, we fall upon our knees...

"Please bless this New Year , we now share
Please hold our loved ones in Your care
Please guide us in our journey, Lord
May Your embrace, be our reward."
